Higher study options at IISc

The last date for receipt of completed application is March 21.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bangalore, has invited applications for admission to the following programmes.

Integrated Ph.D. programmes in biological, chemical, physical, mathematical subjects.

Eligibility: First class B.Sc. degree holders in the relevant subjects are eligible to apply.

IISc. will hold an entrance test on April 24 for selection. For integrated Ph.D. in mathematical science, even first-class BE/ B.Tech. degree holders will be considered for admission.

First class degree holders in pharmacy, veterinary science or agriculture will be considered for integrated Ph.D. course in biological science.

ME degree course in aerospace engineering, chemical, civil, computer science and engineering, electrical, mechanical, materials, microelectronics, signal processing, system science and automation and telecommunication engineering.

Eligibility: Applicants should possess at least second-class Bachelor's degree in appropriate branches of engineering / technology with a valid GATE score.

M.Tech. degree course in electronics design and technology, computational science, climate science, transportation and infrastructure engineering and instrumentation

Eligibility: Applicants with at least a second class in BE / B.Tech. course in relevant branch with a valid GATE score or Master's degree in science, physical sciences, mathematics, statistics, geology, instrumentation, electronics or MCA .

The selection is based on an aptitude test and interview/ GATE score.

M.Des. degree in product design and engineering

Eligibility: Those who possess at least a second class Bachelor's degree in engineering/ technology / design/ architecture with a valid GATE/ CEED scores.

The selection will be made on the basis of Design Aptitude Test and interview.

Master of Management (M.Mgt.)

Eligibility: Students with a first class BE/ B.Tech. degree with a valid GATE / JMET score.

Research programmes (Ph.D./ M.Sc. engineering) are available in various disciplines in science and engineering.

Online and offline applications facilities are provided.

Apply online before March 18 through the web site www.iisc.ernet.in/admissions.

Online application fee is Rs.600.

For application form and prospectus by post, candidates should send a requisition letter mentioning the name of programme for which application form is required, along with a demand draft for Rs.700 drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore – 560012 so as to reach the addressee on or before March 18.
