Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC ) has invited applications for the post of Village Administrative Officer. The candidates will be selected for the recruitment on the basis of their performance in the written examination conducted by the commission.
Applicants who have passes their S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies are eligible to sit for the exam.

Exam pattern:
Examination will be held for a duration of three hours.
Candidates will be given two types of objective type question paper:
General Knowledge-100 Marks with General Tamil
General Knowledge-100 Marks with General English
Syllabus:
- General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology
- Current events: History, Political science, Geography, Economics, latest inventions in science and technology
- Geography
- History and Culture of India and Tamil Nadu
- Indian Polity
- Indian Economy
- Indian National Movement
- Aptitude and mental ability tests
