Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is established by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi under the University Act 1998. GGSIPU ( IP University) (IPU) imparts education in wide array of disciplines & admission into various degree programs whether undergraduate or post graduate level is taken via Common Entrance Test (CET). The IP univeristy was awarded ISO certificate 9001:2000 certification by standardization testing, quality certification directorate, department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India.

The IP Univeristy is accreditted by NAAC and given A grade. Admission into the GGSIPU University is done on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test (CET). GGSIPU University is affiliated and is in teaching with a aim to fascilitate and promote studies in research and extension work  in higher education in various disciplines like- engineering, medical, architecture, management, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nuirsing etc.

IPU CET Qualification Criteria:
Students from Delhi region or outer state preparing for IP University Common Entrance Test must go through eligibility criteria notification. On successful completion of these entrance admission criteria, then only students can get admit cards.

IP University CET Test Pattern:
Question paper pattern or scheme on which GGSIPU entrance paper will designed is described below ...
(i.) The IPU CET test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4). Out of these, only one correct or most appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet;
(ii.) Each question shall carry four marks;
(iii.) There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer;
(iv.) The GGSIPU Test will be of two and a half hours duration and will carry 600 marks;
(v.) The medium of the tests will be English only;
(vi.) Candidates should bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking responses (darkening the ovals) on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed;
(vii.) No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, reassessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet will be entertained;
(viii.) For those who are unable to appear in the test on the scheduled date for any reason, retest will not be held by the University under any circumstances. No refund of fee is permissible;

GGSIPU Application Forms:

IPU University is  providing the facility of On-Line Submission of IPU application form for CET along with the Common Entrance Test fee of Rs.1000/- and Rs.100/ – as postage & handling can be submitted through the Internet. Options to make payments ONLINE are as given below…
1.) Credit Card of any Bank can be used.
2.) ITZ Cash Card as being used for buying ONLINE Rail Tickets.
3.) Net Banking payment facility for CitiBank, ICICI and HDFC Bank Customers.
4.) By cash to Axis Bank after obtaining cash deposit slip from on line system.
5.) By cash deposit to computerised Post Office Branches by obtaining Cash Deposit Slip Print Out from ON LINE Admission System.

The candidates can buy hard copy of form from the Punjab & Sind bank.

**Note: In case of  GGSIPU CET B.Arch programmes, students will have to submitt their result after qualifying exam  NATA Score alongwith proof .
The IPU CET 2012 application form complete in all respects in the sealed printed envelope given along with IPU CET admission brochure, should be submitted by hand at the university counter or it may be sent by registered/speed post..
