Education System in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu is a great state in India which has a literacy rate of 74.5% as per 2001 census. Education in Tamil Nadu proves its quality at all the times. Tamil Nadu has very good resource of learning and there are a number of schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu which holds very high ranks not only in India, but also universally. Board exams in Tamil Nadu (X and XII std's) are conducted by the Directorate of School Educations, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Both private schools and Govt. Schools come under this particular category. The Syllabus not only helps the children in building strong educational knowledge but also prepares him to face this competitive world.

CBSE Schools in Tamil Nadu are governed by the Central board of Education, India. CBSE schools are different from the State board and matriculation schools in Tamil Nadu as the syllabus varies.
